Biography
I have been teaching for 24 years at Cortez Adventist Christian School (the same school I attended as an elementary student.) I teach mainly the lower grades, plus Science for both classrooms. I also team teach P.E. and art.
I wanted to be a teacher my entire life. I think it is the job God called me to do and a job I love doing. My major goal for my students is for them to meet and fall in love with Jesus. Next to that, I want them to receive a high-quality education.
When I am not teaching, I love to spend time outdoors: walking, running, hiking, and mountain climbing.
I have been teaching at Cortez Adventist Christian School since 2012. I am the 5-8 grade teacher. I also teach Social Studies and Music to K-8 grades and co-teach PE and Art. I knew when I was in Kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher. The passion for teaching stayed with me. I have been teaching in Adventist Education my entire teaching career. I would hope that my students not only gain an education but also gain a relationship with Jesus.
I enjoy being outdoors camping, hiking, yard work and gardening. When not able to get outside, I enjoy playing board games, or putting together a jigsaw puzzle wiht my family.
